Golf Club Cleaner
Karus approached Centreline in 2024 with a low-fidelity prototype for the world’s first motorised, water-ejecting golf club cleaner. We completed a full redesign of the product, reimagining the usability and aesthetics of the design, as well as redeveloping the mechanical engineering and electronics of the product to make it fit for purpose, and ready for manufacture as a consumer product.
A simple TPE bung makes refilling the water quick and easy, and a 75ml capacity tank ensures that water will last for at least one full round of golf. The USB-C charged, 1200mAh battery lasts for two full rounds.
A powerful, high spec motor cleans clubs effortlessly, resulting in improved performance on the course, and helps to keep clubs in excellent condition. With longevity in mind, the product has been engineered to enable brush heads to be replaced when they wear over time.
The motor and water jet are controlled by a simple push button. A single press activates the rotating brush, and a second press begins spraying water. Pairing this intuitive functionality with aesthetic features such as the knurled grip texture, considered split lines and a sleek form factor elevates the design to a high end, desirable product.
We also designed a supplementary carry case for the product, which is clipped onto a golf club bag. The case pops open magnetically, giving rapid access to the product to facilitate easy cleaning between holes or shots.
