Employee Spotlight - Finn

To help you get to know the amazing individuals behind Centreline, we're continuing our employee spotlights! This time, we’re featuring Finn, who has recently moved over to our London studio.

What is your job role? In a nutshell what do you do?

I’m a Junior Industrial Designer. In short, that means I design and engineer physical products that people use. I work on all stages of the product journey, from producing research and feasibility studies to conceptual work, including CAD, engineering, prototyping and rendering, and then producing documents and specifications to get products ready for manufacture.

What challenges you on a day to day basis?

Probably managing workload and completing stuff within time. I’m a bit of an idealist and find it hard to let go - something that was a rude awakening during the transition from uni to industry!

What’s the most useless/ interesting talent you have?

I can do a pull-up with 50kg hanging off my waist. Fairly useless and show-off-y, but kind of cool

Something new you’ve learned in the past month?

I’ve been doing a couple of projects that have required some fairly tricky CAD surfacing work. It’s been a steep learning curve, but something I’ve been enjoying working through and improving at.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I love sport and exercising. Specifically running, white water slalom kayaking, gym and climbing. I also love travelling, reading and music - I've been enjoying going to lots more gigs since I moved down to London.
